So after a very early morning after a pretty late night we travelled to Surf camp....! The bus managed to break down even before we had left which meant we could have had 2 extra hours sleep grrrrr! Oh well! Finally it got sorted with a replacement bus but it wasnt big enough for everyone so scooter ( thats our bus drivers name?! yes weird) asked 6 of us to volunteer to go on a smaller bus most of the way so we volunteered being the nice people we are. We got on this little mini bus, waited for our other driver when this really starnge looking man got on with huuuuuge big buck teeth ( really big) and started talking about his obsession with pigs. We were all pulling faces behind his back as were a little bit freaked out and then he pulls his ugly hat off and the minging teeth out and starts cracking up laughing! It was really funny but at the same time we were mortified as he then made us feel really bad for judging him.......oooopsy! I giggled most of the journey about it! ha! Today was a long day of travelling especially with a hangover and a half. We finally got to surf camp in time for dinner and we crashed pretty early as we knew we had yet another 6am rise.
So we got up at 6am as requested had brekky and then headed to the briefing area. The surf instructors were just a little bit ( a lot) attractive which didnt help pretty much all of the girls concentration ha! Anyhow we then headed down to the beach for our surf lesson. Most of us a little scared but after about 5 minutes we were all determined to get up and ride those waves and it didnt take us long before we did! It was amazing! yeeeeeeeow! ( this is what u have to shout if u get up!) Surfing is soooooo tiring but addictive we had so much fun. Pictures to follow.
We left surf camp to head for Byron Bay at lunchtime.
