We arrived in Byron Bay around 3pm had a nice walk around town. Its so cute! Everyone is either a surfer, a hippi or a backpacker. The atmosphere is really laid back here and there are lots of really cure shops and cafes. The beach is gorgeous and the surf is good so it was a great place to practise those skills we learnt at Spot x ( surf camp)
Saturday was anzac day and for the Aussies a momentus day! We spent the day chilling on the beach in the sun....now this is what Australia is about. Sun, sea surf and shots! On that note we went to cheeky monkeys tonight which is conventiently located just across the road from our hostel! Dangerous! So after a few cheapy drinks in our room followed by a few more and then a few drinking games we headed out. It was a wicked night. I got myself involved in a few challenges on stage in true Danielle fashion....but it did prove a good move when i won myself $30 worth of free drinkies! yey!
Sunday was one of my worst hangovers EVER! no kidding! oh well! I dragged myself to the beach with the others. Me and Claire decided to go in the sea for a dip....wrong! The current was huge, Claire managed to lose her sunglasses ( after already losing her camera and back card the night before :-( ) Not good! But we literally had the giggles for about an hour in the sea! sooooo funny - wave bashing etc. We spent Sunday night with a bbq a film!
We left Byron Bay on tuesday to go to Surfers Paradise :-( I loved Byron Bay and wanted to stay, will definatley be coming back here!
