Well the two days that followed our open water dives were BRILLIANT. The first day we did some classroom work ( when i say classroom its so laid back but its just to prove we know the science behind it all!) and then two dives. These were learning to navigate.....hmmmm yes i have trouble with this at home let alone under water but here goes! haha!
I surprised myself and was pretty good at it, obviously we work in buddy teams so me and Nat were together. Hilarious when one of you thinks its one way and the other doesnt....u cant only sign underwater....! So there we were arguing under water about which way to go to get to the cave/back to the boat/to the bay but although we took it seriously we were laughing at each other A LOT which made our masks fill up with water hahahahaha! Anyways me and nat had a bet with the other buddy team ( our good friends Carys and Jet) that whoever got nearest to the boat on a navigation dive won and the losing team bought the other two a bucket at the full moon party! WE WON! haha! woooooooo! We came up right next to the boat! Check us out! Even ou instuctors were shocked..... who by the way think I am the funniest pommie girl they have ever met??? dont know what gave them that idea? It might have been the fact that i fell off the boat or that i refused to do the mask skill to begin with or the fact that i constantly giggled under the water...... hehehehehehe! Oh and goodness sake... they found out my surname was Burr and thought it would be funny to take the p#ss!!! When/if you ever run out of air on a dive u have to say something like aaaaahhhhhh as u exhale to the surface but they changed it to Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - funny guys ey! so everyone copied!
The following day we did two more dives during the day, one being a naturalist dive and the other a photographic. The naturalist was finding strange fish and corals and identifying them from our slates, the second we hired an underwater digi camera and took photos..... ( to be added at a later stage) it was brilliant! Then in the evening we did a Night Dive, this was just out of this world. Be it a ltitle scary to start with it turned out to be the best yet. So thats it we are now ADVANCED open water divers! We had a brilliant night out that night and then left early to cath the boat over to Koh Phangan early on the 8th of March.....! First island done....onto the next!
